Usery Mountain Regional Park Fit dogs are happier, healthier, and display fewer behavioral problems. Tails on Trails will provide the opportunity to meet other dog hikers, learn safe hiking practices and dog trail etiquette. The fun, 1-mile hike along the level Merkle Trail is great for beginner hiker dogs. Please bring a short non-extendable leash, a small cleanup bag, and water for you and your dog. Nov. 17 — Dog’s Day in the Garden10:00 am – 2:00 pm
The Desert Botanical Garden is pleased to announce a new event for dogs and their humans, Dog’s Day in the Garden.
On Saturday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visitors can take advantage of this special opportunity to bring the whole family, dogs included, to the Garden.
The event will include vendors sampling the best dog food and treats and special presentations ranging from making treats to keeping dogs safe in the desert environment. Visitors and their dogs can go for a walk on Garden trails, heel for family photo opportunities, and learn about pet-friendly landscaping tips.
All dogs are $1 with proceeds benefiting Arizona Humane Society. All dogs must be on a leash and remain on marked trails at all times. All dogs must be up-to-date on all vaccinations and registrations. Handlers are required to pick up after their dogs and properly dispose of their waste. Desert Botanical Garden reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove any dog thought to be dangerous to other dogs or visitors.
