Talk your dog for a mellow stroll along the Goldmine trail (approximately 2 miles round trip) in the morning hours. There will be chat about dog safety on trails and ways to beat the Phoenix summer heat. Please be sure to bring plenty of water and a leash.

April 3 — Sunset Dog Walk5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Mix up your routine by getting out of your neighborhood and hit the trail for your afternoon walk west of Phoenix in Estrella Park! Skip the dog park so you can get some exercise too. Meet at the Coldwater Trailhead (near the horse arena). Dogs must be on a leash.

Bring your furry canine friends down to Hayden Square Amphitheater in Temepe every Third Thursday at 5:00pm for fun and socialization while listening to live music and taking photos in the FREE photo booth. Dress your pups in fun and crazy outfits to add to the entertainment.

April 19 — Tails on Trails9:00 am – 10:00 am
Fit dogs are happier, healthier, and display fewer behavioral problems. “Tails on Trails” will provide the opportunity to meet other dog hikers and learn safe hiking practices as well as dog trail etiquette. This fun, 1-mile hike along the level Merkle Trail is great for beginner hiker dogs. Please bring a short non-extendable leash, a small cleanup bag, and water for you and your dog. One dog per hiker, please. Location: Area 6.

May 3 — Cinco de Mayo Chihuahua Races10:00 am – 5:00 pm
The annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration presented by Si Se Puede Foundation honors the Hispanic community’s many contributions to the City of Chandler. The festival also features the popular Chihuahua Races and the crowning of the King and Queen Chihuahua.

Come on down to downtown Mesa for Dog Daze. Dog friendly events, dog costume contests, and lots of dog activities in this monthly event that also features live bands, more than 60 artists, galleries, shops and restaurants.

Travel up to Prescott with your dog and get out of the heat. Then put on your bell bottoms & tie-dye shirts and join the Woofstock fun. Contests, prizes, demonstrations & pet adoptions. There will be disc dogs, vaccinations, demonstrations of good canine citizens.

Sept. 14 — Bark in the Park10:45 am – 11:45 am
Take your dog to a ball game in downtown Phoenix — join the Arizona D-backs and our canine companions at Chase Field for Bark in the Park on Sunday, June 22. Be sure to come early to participate in the pre-game Puppy Parade around the warning track at Chase Field.
Tickets are available for you and your dog in the following location:
- Picnic Pavilion: $28 per person & $28 per dog
- Baseline Reserve: $28 per person & $28 per dog
- Bleachers: $18 per person & $18 per dog

Come out at celebrate the East Valley’s Queen Creek new dog park!
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. with fun for our furry, four-legged friends to follow!
In addition to the ribbon cutting ceremony, there will be: MCSO K-9 Unit – 8 – 8:30 a.m., Rachel’s Bake Shop (with doggie and human treats), Petco (with dog groomers, a dog trainer, and natural balance treat/food samples), Ironwood Animal Hospital – (with samples and info about their services), Fields4Dogs™ – (a pet sitting and dog walking service), and Chuy’s Pet Magnets We hope to see you and your favorite furball there!
