Aug. 2 — Dog Days of Summer7:00 am – 10:00 am
Even though it is in the middle of summer, this is one of my favorite dog events in metro Phoenix throughout the year.
Glendale’s Dog Days of Summer is at Murphy Park, the town square of Glendale. It starts in the early morning and everyone is in a great mood to come outdoors and spend some time with their dogs — people and dogs are just tired of being cooped up by that point in the summer.
The Sun Valley Animal Shelter will on site with shelter information and animals for adoption. There will be a mobile veterinary unit offering immunizations, educational seminars by various pet professionals, dog massage, pet related products of all kinds, prize wheel & raffles, a photo station, petting zoo area brought to us by Pratt’s Pets, a doggy wash sponsored by Hot Dogs & Cool Cats, and free Frosty Paw treats.
